Guided in Egypt

I asked my guide yesterday which ancient Egyptian god he resonated with most, he answered Thoth ~ god of wisdom & learning, the scribe of the gods.

He studied Egyptology at university for 4 years, then learning mostly through his own investigation. I asked him if this was hard to learn as there is so much information, so many gods, so many stories to remember. He said yes it was hard, but made easier because he loves it, it's his passion. I needed to hear that.

Contrary to popular belief, hard does not mean bad. It just means it's a challenge, a chance to rise to the occasion.

We can see this in astrology through aspects ~ how the planetary bodies are relating/influencing one other based off geometry. Pop astrology will tell you that certain aspects are bad, almost like a punishment. In Evolutionary Astrology we use the word 'hard' for these aspects. They are a catalyst for growth, coming directly from your soul. A chance for you to rise to the occasion, especially if Saturn or Pluto are in that mix.

I feel like when something is hard to do, it just means that you actually care about doing said thing. It means you are expanding beyond your current capacity.

So yeah, this interaction reminded me that everyone and everything can be your teacher if you remain a student of life. So thanks to my guide for that simple nugget of wisdom, very Thoth of you.
