Year of the Snake

Hellooo, this is your reminder that while the snake might be a symbol of transformation, of shedding, letting go ~ death & rebirth, she is not constantly shedding her skin.

She is also living, breathing, playing, hunting, exploring, sunning, taking considered action, just being a goddamn snake, doing snake things

Just as the caterpillar and butterfly are not in a constant stage of metamorphosis, it's just a moment in time, a stage or phase of life. Otherwise they too are living, breathing, exploring, doing insect things

There is living before the death & living after the rebirth

Try not to get trapped in these moments of transformation & metamorphosis ~ 'the work' ~ 'the healing journey' ~ thinking this is all there is to life.

Life is here to be lived, experienced, explored, integrated with, moved by, felt.

We can see this in the wheel of the zodiac with Scorpio representing death & rebirth, metamorphosis, transformation. However we do not stay here all year, it's for a moment of time as the sun briefly illuminates this part of the evolutionary journey of the soul. Sagittarius shoots her arrow in soon after, to remind us life is a party, it's to be explored, and it's cosmic joke. It's not that deep and it is that deep ~ that is the cosmic joke.

Remember to have fun and live your life
The snake is simply called to surrender, shedding her smaller skin after a moment of growth.
